PATROLMAN

 

  The City of Logan Police Department is accepting applications for Patrol Officer to establish an eligibility list. If you are already a full-time Officer, the City will accept your application as a lateral transfer candidate.  If not, you will be required to take the Civil Service Test. 

  Starting pay is based upon experience and includes shift differential, education incentives and an excellent benefits package. Applicants will be considered based on their qualifications, training, certifications, experience, and Civil Service test results.

 Applicants will be subject to a background investigation, polygraph, psychological examination, and pre-employment physical. A job description and application are available in the application packet. You must meet the minimum requirements:

 

  • 21 years of age at time of appointment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must possess a valid OPOTC certificate at time of appointment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

If you are submitting an application as a lateral transfer candidate, you must include a copy of your OPOTC certification with the completed application.  Applicants will be notified by email concerning the date, time, and location of a board interview or civil service examination.
