The Logan Police Department Investigation Bureau is responsible for conducting detailed criminal investigations regarding felony crimes and other major incidents designated by the Chief of Police. These types of incidents include large scale property crimes, serious violent crimes, sexual assaults, financial crimes and narcotics related investigations. The Investigation Bureau is also responsible for processing crime scenes and educating members of the community regarding crime trends and safety awareness. The Investigative Bureau currently consists of a Lieutenant and two Detectives, one of which is assigned to the Fairfield-Hocking-Athens Major Crimes Unit.
